How this Training Works and How You Get Certified
You may already know that Creativity is today's most important business skill.
If you don't, you'll be very clear about that soon.
So your choice of becoming certified as a Creativity and Innovation Coach is truly magnificent.
And the opportunities truly endless.
There are three main reasons that people register into this workshop:
- To gain or improve the skills of Creativity and Innovation Coaching;
- International certification as a Creativity and Innovation Coach; OR
- Both.
People who take this workshop are:
- Established coaches: Life Coaches, Executive Coaches, Abundance Coaches, other types of coaches who see the value and importance of Creativity and Innovation in business and life today and want to build their Creativity and innovation Coaching skills.
- Established Creativity or Innovation Coaches who are already doing that work and want to get more training or get certified.

HOW THE CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION COACH TRAINING WORKS
There are two basic courses that comprise the Creativity and Innovation Coach training program.
- The Creativity and Innovation Coach Training course you are in right now.
- The Innovation Explosion workshop we offer on Egsbe.
COACH TRAINING COURSE
In the coaching program, you'll have a short video from me each week, as well as a sample of at least one coaching session related to the week's topic, and some readings, viewings, and listenings that will supplement the basics. As time goes on, we will continue adding more content to this program. So keep checking in.
You will jump between this course and the Innovation Explosion each week. Check out the coaching input, go back to the experience of the Innovation Explosion as your coachees or trainees would. And then come back to review here.
The reason we start at Week Zero instead of Week One is because in the Innovation Explosion, the first real step toward transformation happens in Week One, Safety. And we don't want to confuse things by calling Step One "Week Two." Know what I mean?
THE INNOVATION EXPLOSION
The Innovation Explosion is the basic transformational training in creative thinking that we use at the Innotivity Institute to revolutionize the creative minds of everyone we touch. You will use it to do the same for your own Creativity and you will learn to deliver it to others.
The Innovation Explosion is not an extra, or an addition to the Coaching program. It is the very core of the Coaching program. Because this course is not just about learning some tools and gaining some knowledge. It's about transforming yourself so you can transform others.
The Innovation Explosion will revolutionize your relationship to your own creativity and innovation abilities In fact, that's necessary before you think about taking it to other people.
So I recommend you start by jumping across to the Innovation Explosion and get going on it.
Information on how to join that course at Egsbe follows in the next learning unit.
Follow it as faithfully as you can. In other words, don't skip days - and don't rush ahead either. The Innovation Explosion as it is designed should take you no more than 30 mins per day, for 8 to 10 weeks.
In the Innovation Explosion, the videos for me at the beginning of each week will have a lot of similarities to what you see here. Except, of course, they're not gonna refer to clients and so on.
The videos here will be a little bit more complex and slightly richer, and you might feel after watching this, like skipping the opening session of the Innovation Explosion videos on each step. You could get away with it most of the time because the information is here.
But I encourage you to watch it there too, both so you could review what's being said there and also so you get a vision of what your client would be seeing. Learning about how you could explain that week's topic to a client.
You can invest more time than that if you wish, and go deeper into that day's exercise, rewatch the videos, or do further research into the topic. The more the better!
We encourage you to make comments in both courses as much as you can. It will help us improve the course and also engage you in dialogue where needed.
THE REST OF THE WORK OUTSIDE THE TRAINING ITSELF
To get certified, after you've completed the online coaching program and the online Innovation Explosion, you'll join a short series of live group coaching sessions in which we will go through the eight weeks together, and discuss how they apply to you and to your clients.
Finally, you're gonna need to coach two clients through creative breakthroughs.
All of this is explained below in "How You Get Certified"
To get your Certification you will need to:
- Complete the Innovation Explosion Full Workshop online (see step: Registering for Egsbe)
- Complete all steps in this online Coaching course
- Coach two clients through a creative breakthrough. You can use the Innovation Explosion methodology, or not, for these clients. If they purchase the Innovation Explosion course you will get an affiliate commission
- Write a short summary of the processes in #3 (examples are included in this training.
- Attend one of our live online group coaching sessions, which currently are planned to run each for 4 x 3 hour sessions.
- Take the Coach completion survey
- Have your 2 clients take the Client completion survey
- You have to already
- be a Certified coach OR
- complete a separate Coaching Certification OR
- have a substantial track record as a practicing but non-certified coach, trainer, mediator, psychologist, etc.
The coaching process itself outlined in #3 is designed to show that you can successfully execute your job as a Creativity Coach with two different people. You will not charge them for this until you are certified.
There are several ways to do this.
1. Have one or both purchase the Innovation Explosion video course (use your affiliate link to get 30% commission) and guide them through the process.
2. Train one of both using your learning from the Innovation Explosion video course without using the videos.
3. Coach them without using the Innovation Explosion video course at all, and use the video course structure only for your own learning.
We have found that it is useful to have at least one client pursue the video course to give you the opportunity to try two different ways of coaching.
The writeup in #4 should be short and sweet. It should list the challenge each client faced, one or two sentences outlining each session you had with them, the main technique or input you provided, and the breakthrough they achieved in their project.
The writeup should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line: "Creativity and Innovation Coaching Certification Report"
The surveys assist us in monitoring the process as well as providing us with confirmation from your clients of your writeup from the previous steps.
We highly recommend you join our monthly creativity coaching Mastermind webinars to allow you to connect to the community of creativity coaches and get any questions or challenges you are facing answered and supported/resolved. One year of participation in these masterminds is included in your tuition.
Please note further that your tuition includes one year membership to the Innotivity Institute which will allow you to advertise yourself as an Innotivity Institute-licensed coach.
The requirement that you be a certified coach in another discipline or have a track record that allows us to offer RPL (recognition of prior learning) via your experience is due to the fact that we will not be teaching you "how to coach" in this training, but merely how to coach the skill and faculty of CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION.
NOTE RE YOUR SAMPLE CLIENTS
There are several ways to work with your two "sample" clients.

2. Train one of both using your learning from the Innovation Explosion video course without using the videos.
3. Coach them without using the Innovation Explosion video course at all, and use the video course structure only for your own learning.
We have found that it is useful to have at least one client pursue the video course to give you the opportunity to try two different ways of coaching.
Bottom line, the goal is to get them to a creative breakthrough. This could take one or two sessions, or ten.
As you have to work with two clients, we recommend taking one through the Innovation Explosion, and doing one without it.
You get a commission for the course, and you can coach them off the back of it.
In the end, it's up to you.
The point is you need to take to clients through to create a breakthrough, and then you need to provide evidence of it.
It's very important to note that saying "Creativity and Innovation Coaching" doesn't limit us because really, this coaching can apply to anything in business and personal life as well.
Calling it "Creativity and Innovation Coaching" does not mean it's only about the traditional idea of Creativity.
What we're really looking at is how do we free our clients up?
How do we help them get better ideas faster and easier and apply them or successfully?
That's the mantra.

We want to create a feeling of freedom and abundance that they might never have experienced before and help them to sustain, maintain and grow it further, hopefully for the rest of their life.
