Welcome
Becoming certified internationally as a Creativity and Innovation Coach is a unique opportunity.
At this time we are the only Creativity and Innovation Coach certification process we are aware of in the world approved by an international coaching regulation body.
In our case, that body is the International Coaches Register (ICR). You can read more about the ICR by clicking on this link. We are currently working on adding other coaching bodies to the list.
Our Innotivity Institute process is aligned with similar sub-discipline coaching certifications and takes approximately three months to complete, if you are disciplined and consistent. In fact, due to the rigours of experiencing a true creative transformation, this course ideally should not be done in less than the three months. Of course it can also take as long as you want although we would not recommend spending more than one year.
This is a Beta version of this course, hence you have paid much less for the course than it will cost in future. For this reason we hope you will share with us the positives and negatives of your experience as you go through the work. You can do so in the comments after each section.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THIS LEAP!!
Now, let's get going, first by introducing your trainer - Michael, an ICR-certified Master of Creativity and Innovation Coaching.
Welcome to INNOTIVITY
Let me start by explaining why we're calling this training and certification process both Creativity and Innovation Coach.
You may already be working as a Creativity Coach or an Innovation Coach, and most people do call it one or the other.
There's over five thousand people on LinkedIN alone who call themselves a Creativity coach or an Innovation Coach.
But I've only come across two that call themselves both a Creativity and Innovation coach who have nothing to do with this program.
People tend to think that "Creativity" is about painting, writing, acting, singing and so on.
While "Innovation" is about harder knowledge in science, technology and business.
But in our work, that's not the case as you will soon see.
Creativity is interior. It deals with the mind, even if it's done in a team.
Innovation deals with the exterior - implementation, activity.
Innovation is just Creativity in action.
That is ultimately the only significant difference.
Creativity and Innovation are really just two parts of one process that begins with confronting a problem and ends with sorting it out with deliverables and real world results.
There's not an existing word that sums up these two things.
Until now.
That word is INNOTIVITY. And you are one of the few people in the world being trained in it.
We will talk a lot more about INNOTIVITY and what it means and why it is different.
But for now what matters most, and this is key:
Creativity is the ability to think differently from yourself.
And so Innovation is the ability to act differently from yourself.
And yes, I mean differently from yourself, not just different from everyone else.
Because there's no point in being quote unquote "Creative" in the same way again and again for the rest of your life.
The great creative minds in history shifted the way they were creative again and again and again.
That's why we say that the most important Innovation you will ever make is to innovate yourself.
The second most important innovation is to innovate your clients, whether those clients are individuals, teams, other people in your company.
The reason I say second is that if you don't innovate yourself first, you're never gonna be able to innovate them.
And in the end, this training is about them, not you.
But it begins with you.
VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP WHICH IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS AND FORMER STUDENTS OF THIS PROGRAM. Do it right now so you don't forget.
You will also be asked to join the Innovation Explosion Facebook group when you start the work there. Please do not be confused - these are two separate FB groups.
Please mail any questions to [email protected]
Now please take this short survey about your hopes and expectations for this training. Thank you!
Please take a minute to go to the comments and introduce yourself.
Because we want to know who you are. And the other people going through this course want to know who you are too.
